The Power of Occupation

I would like to proudly express my gratitude for having the opportunity to embrace occupational therapy as my lifetime work. It is my honor to be involved in helping the Occupational Therapy Department, Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, Chiang Mai University in producing occupational therapy graduates.

Occupational therapy is the only profession that helps individuals across the lifespan engage and participate in daily occupations to their fullest potential. From 1979 to the present, the Occupational Therapy Department conducts its activities attentively and strives to develop occupational therapy education that ensures an adequate supply of skilled, knowledgeable, and ethical graduates that can serve Thai society. With strong determination, our graduates become essential agents in the Thai healthcare and education systems for strengthening the physical and mental health of Thai people by providing them with opportunities to engage and participate in valuable and meaningful occupations as they need or wish to do.

The department has a staff having high levels of expertise. Furthermore, our faculty members have vast occupational therapy knowledge and valuable experience and are ready to transfer that knowledge and essential clinical skills to students to fulfill the mission of the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences and Chiang Mai University in producing excellent graduates. In addition, we are committed to creating and developing knowledge through research and innovation; and providing academic services from our expertise in occupational therapy for the benefit of the community and the nation.

Our faculty members are doing their best to move the department forward to be recognized both nationally and internationally; and to address the needs of society. We also strive to enhance the development of occupational therapy education for the entire world.
